Frankly, I already knew the whole thing from various other accounts and the movie, and this was one of the main reasons it took me like a month to finish this book. Another reason is that I wanted to take in every single detail. And I'm really glad that I took all the time, because the little things I hadn't known were all worth it. Recommended not only for football lovers, but for anyone who might have had even a tiny shard of curiosity regarding this living legend. Believe me, this is not your normal story. It's way way more. The first few pages of the book gave me an impression that it would be a boring biography on Lionel Messi, however after the first few pages, the author conducts a personal interview with the legend, Messi himself. The things I found interesting were how the author meets with Messi's family personally to ask what sacrifices Messi had to make in his youth to carry on his passion. I also find interesting h I am a huge football fan, so as soon as I saw the book's cover, I was attracted immediately.
I also find interesting how the author asked other player's opinion on Messi. I like that the book includes pictures of Messi scoring goals.

I also like the fact that it is not written in a boring manner, and is fun to read once your past the first chapter since you start reading about the sacrifices Messi had made. Yes, I would recommend this book to other. However, this book would be more enjoyed if read by a person that is looking for an inspirational character in regards to sports, or for a person that is just simply passionate about football. The disease that he had was growth hormone deficiency. As the story progresses, people realize that Messi is an amazing soccer player despite that fact that he is really short. I think this book was really good because it reminded me that you can be great and do great things no matter what other people think of you.
The problem that Messi had to deal with throughout the story was people thinking he was a bad player because of his height. Messi was my favorite character because I love the type of person he is. He is amazing both on and off the pitch. My favorite part of the story was when it says Messi went back to where he grew up and he got a really amazing welcoming from everyone in his former neighborhood.
